The current situation in Afghanistan is heart breaking, and clearly demonstrates the need for immediate help and offers of safety for people fleeing oppression.
Together with our partners, we are asking governments in Europe to come together to provide the safety and support that people fleeing so desperately need, with safe routes provided as a matter of urgency. We are calling on European governments to recognise the protection needs of Afghan people already in Europe who will be unable to return home and urgently grant refugee status to all outstanding cases.
